The Farm was successful and fulfilling for 20 years because of community support. We started out selling our plants, and later added goat cheese, at Farmer’s Markets.  We then added the YSF goat cheese/yogurt CSA shares with pickup sites around the region. Our CSA members created priceless, unique community connections. They made so much possible; it enabled the Farm to survive and thrive.  Given the hard work, long hours, but very modest profits in agriculture, people who visited the farm, raved about our products, and steadfastly supported our mission and kept us going over the years.

Our CSA was once about goat cheese and agriculture for me, but now I am creating a new CSA-Community Supported Art. Community connections matter as art is typically made alone as a solitary pursuit. Whether you buy a painting, visit an art exhibit, or “like” a social media post. I value your interest, mindshare and feedback.  I share a part of my experience, history, thoughts and emotions with each painting. Even if we seldom meet in person, I appreciate my art audience.

I now have opportunities to focus on oil painting, in addition to continuing landscape design. My passions for colors, nature, food, and exploring new places remain a common thread. PS - I still love buying food at CSAs and Farmers’ Markets
