Caroline Red produces some of the largest berries that ripen in the fall, with a super strong raspberry flavor. Caroline is very productive and can be grown nearly anywhere. This is a native plant that is tolerant to root rot and high resistance to grey mold. Fall-bearing canes can be cut down to the ground in early spring if an early crop of fruit isn't wanted. Raspberries require a good soil with slight acidity and adequate drainage. Raspberries also require one to three inches of water a week. More water is required as the berries get close to harvest. Need 1-3" of water per week.
