Description

A great recipe when you're in a hurry, or when the electricity is out.

Ingredients

Dried Figs
24  
Toasted Pecans
1 dash
Balsamic Vinegar
1 bunch
Kale

Instructions

  • Slit figs or dates no more than half the depth of the fruit, so they open a bit , but do not fall apart or break. Celery stick section should be about 1-1/2 to 2 inches long each.
  • Insert about a  heaping teaspoonful of goat cheese. Top with a pecan.
  • Arrange on a platter-- kale or chard leaves make a nice contrast on the plate, too.
  • Drizzle with raspberry balsamic vinegar, or honey, according to taste.
